"Secret of the True Holy Rune Part 1" (Kuskus Town) Stallion reclined against the tree that was south of Muse, north of Kuskus and stood beside a small cool spring, he was busy thinking about his Rune. He knew it was a True Rune, and unlike normal runes, True Runes seemed to have a 'personality' some more than others. The Star Dragon Sword was most likely the best example, as well as the Soul Eater which had a tendency to eat the souls of those closest to it's bearer unlike the Darkness Rune. His rune also had a personality, it had a tendency to give him speed boosts, that made him extremely fast. There were two individual cases, the first was when he ran across the water to Toran Castle, which had inspired him to become the fastest alive, and then yesterday when he ran across Tenzan Pass so fast that he hear the voices of the Highland Soldiers catch up with him after he had ran. Now there had to be come sort of connection, one involved Water, the other didn't {Ahh! Maybe it was the soldiers!} Stallion thought, but quickly discarded the notion, he hadn't ran all that fast when the elves fought Kwanda's troops. Perhaps it was the atmosphere, they had both been hot days, escpecially the day before, he quickly discarded theat notion as well, he remembered it being boiling hot when he was up in northern Faleena, and that had only slowed him. Maybe it was the wind velocity, perhaps when he had ran the wind had made it possible for him to run over watr and faster than sound. But no, there wasn't even wind when he ran across the water. Then it hit him, and hit him hard, a apple on the tree had fell on his head, but on further inspection he discovered it was actually a large hard fruit called 'Kaiyas' that's innards were rather juicy. The blue haired elf looked up, inside the tree a flying squirrel was fiddlig about, causing all of the Kaiyas to shake violently. Despite his awesome speed, Stallion's mind wasn't as fast and he was soon under a pile of heavy fruit. He managed to get out with only a few bruises and a broken spirit. Suddenly he realized it, when he had ran he had been carrying females! Sylvina and Viki were both females! So that meant theat if he carried a female he could run really fast... But it couldn't be that simple, after all he only ran at his normal speed with Valeria, maybe only pretty females made him fast, after all, Stallion really didn't see Valeria all that pretty. But he did know by human standards Valeria was pretty (according to Sheena that is) so that eliminated the 'pretty' female factor. He had to find something Sylvina and Viki had in common, both were rather clueless, they were pale skinned. Finally it added up, they were young, in their teens, if he carried a young innocent teenage maiden he would be granted awesome speed. Stallion stood and began trekking towards Kuskus Town, humans were rarely that innocent, in fact Viki was only innocent because she had somehow fried her brain and was incapable of doing something wrong on purpose. He began wandering the streets of Kusku, most people gave him odd looks, which was typical since elves ussually didn't just go window shopping in the nearby human settlement. There was one youg girl, she appeared to be about seventeen or so, (which was young by elven age, but human's have a tendency to grow like weeds) who appeared to be somewhat innocent. After some thought, he realized he didn't want to take any chances, so he would haver to have her in peril so he could rescue her and go at his top speed. An hour later he tracked down a small group consisting of a cutrabbit, a squirrel a furfur and their leader, a target lady. Boldy he marched upon the group. "Psst..." The group of creatures looked at Stallion, each one chattered something but the Target Lady took charge immediately "What.. do you want... hum... hey... human's don't have pointy ears!" "Yes, well tha--" Stallio began but was cut off by the Fur-Fur, then the cutrabit as well. "Your right, human's dont have blue hair...." The target lady said, the squirrel gibbered soemthing out then "Good point, it's probally a giant DoReMi elf" "Do... Re... Mi... Elf?" Stallion asked angrily "How dare you confuse me with those... musical... monstrosities!" The group however weren't paying attention, the monster creatures were chittering, chattering and gibbering while the target lady just nodded her head to each one of them, "Alright" the pinkish purple female said "He must be another monster!" "Nonono" Stallion corrected "I am a elf, a -real- elf, not a fake one, and I have job for you all" The squirrel gibbered, the rabbit chattered while the Fur-Fur chattered in unision, then the Target Lady answered "A job..." "Yeah, see there's this 'innocent maiden' east of here in Kuskus Town, and in order to get the awesome speed of my rune unlocked, I must rexscue a fair young maiden, that way the rune will grant supernatural speed allowing me to be the best, of the best!" Stallion said as he continued to boast for a few more hours, when he finally mentioned that he would pay the group of misfts, their leader readily agreed and set about her plan while Stallion returned to town. He set upon the boring task of watching the 'fair maiden' for hours, he was beggining to beleive that pinkish monster lady had tricked him. He had never been much of a lady watcher, and this was no exception, he had minimal interest in female elves, and female humans were even less attractive. As he was about to give up, a squirrel suddenly jumped in front of the girl. She looked at the creature, kneeled down and patted on the head, she was suddenly toppled over by the butt end of a rabbit's axe, then a Fur-Fur leaped in her face and using it's hidden talon's lodged itself onto her face. The blue haired elf watched in awe as the three furry creatures attacked her, he then remembered what he was supposed to do. He ran swiftly to her, scooped her up, scraped the Fur-Fur from her face and proceeded towards the water. When the 'fair' kicking, screaming, cursing 'maiden' realized they were heading to the water, her fighting became even more feirce. However Stallion paid it no mind and ran on to the water, he seemed to suspend on it for some time, before once more sinking underwater as he did before. Defeated, depressed and once more drowned, the soggy fast-footed elf tredged out of the water, leaving the 'fair' maiden to bring herself out. Stallion once more fell into deep thought, before he could collect his thoughts a sharp sting him him in the face, after recovering from the initial shock. The human female he had 'rescued' stood before him red faced and soaked to the bone. "You jerk!" She yelled "I knew your pointy eared butt but was no good when I saw you snooping around town!" And with that said and done, she left, and Stallion gave up the 'fair maiden' theory deciding that carrying girls around while he was running wasn't all that stylish anyway. He then noticed the cut-rabbit, squirrel and fur-fur rejoining the target lady at the entrance of the town.
