"A friend, a Death, and a Rune" (Greenhill) Simone walked towards Greenhill New Leaf Academy, with Clone in tow. As they walked, a girl in the proper Greenhill dress code rudhed by and bumped into his left arm, and then scurried off. This didn't have much effect, except Simone's arm started vibrating violently, so he stepped into the bushes. Suddenly, the rune dissconnected from his left hand, and seemed to merge with Clone. "WOAH!" Clone exclaimed. "I GUESS WE WERE MENT TO MERGE!" And it DID combine, and when it was over, Clone looked stronger, but was still his regular 1-foot armored self. "I FEEL STRONGER!" Clone exclaimed. "Sorry bout the loss of the Clone rune, but what was meant to be must be." Then, there was a rustle in the bushes, as a person slowly came out. He looked almost 40, and looked like he was a seasoned warrior. "WHO ARE YOU!" the mysterious man said. "AND WHO IS THE SHRIMP!" "I am Simone. And this is Clone," Simone replied. "AND WHO ARE YOU!" "I am Joel," Joel replied. "And I am the proud bearer of the Super Sword Rune, the proud rune of my father and his father before him." "Yes," Clone replied. "I have heard of that rune. It expends the strength of your body of mine, but powers up the wearer almost 5 times, in almost every aspect. It lets the wearer control how long it is active, but the wearer must turn off the power before it weakens him too much. Also, it can be intensified for almost 5 seconds, making the wearer VERY powerful, but in this form it expends the wearers body and mind even more." "Very true!" Joel said. "And my family has been the proud controller of it for a long time!" "Well," Simone said. "We're headed to Muse. Wanna come along?" "Sure," Joel replied. "Why don't we leave right now?" He said this with what sounded like urgency in his voice. As they left, a state soldier came in and pointed at Joel. "THATS THE MAN!" the soldier shouted. "HE KILLED HIIS OWN WIFE, BOTH HIS DAUGHTERS, AND AN HONORED STATE OFFICIAL! HE MUST PAY!" At this, 5 soldiers came to attack, but were abruptly stopped. Simone threw 1 of his roses at a soldiers throat, killing him instantly. Clone then went up to face the 4 men. "HA!" 1 of the soldiers laughed. "YOU CAN'T KILL US!" But they then learned why he was called clone. He used his own power, and out of himself walked 3 other exact clones of him, ready to fight! The all then jumped and punched the soldiers in the face, the went up then down and kicked them, effectively knocking them out. They all then walked back into Clone, and he was the same again! 10 more came. This time, Joel readied his sword, and was suddenly engulfed by a red flame. It seemed to covor him. He then, with amazing speed and agility, jumped forward and hacked away 5 of them, then the flame became blue, and he went even faster. When he became back to normal, he looked VERY tired. He sunk down, wanting to rest, when a shower of arrows came down and hit Joel. "JOEL!" Simone screamed. "They say you killed, but I sense it is not true." "No! Jokel killed my wife and children, so I tried to kill him. But HE IS ALIVE! If you meet him, avenge my wife and daughters and kill himm," Joel said with much pain in his voice. "One more thing, take and hold the Super Sword Rune. You showed me compassion when no one else would. You are the right one to weild it." He then died. As the soldiers walked over to collect the body, Clone came. "Here, I will remove the rune," he said, grief in his voice. He then extended his arms towards Joel's body, and a ray came out of them, sucking the crystal off. Simone grabbed it. "YES!" he thought. "I CAN USE MY RESSURECTION RUNE!" But at that second, a thunder bolt hit his right palm, frying the rune. He then rose up, unsheathed Rhapsody, and killed them all. He then went over to the Runemaster's shop, got the ressurection rune removed, and the Super Sword rune put in his right hand. He then sat down in a bench in the middle of the town. "HMPH!"he thought. "A friend got killed! Just my luck." "Don't worry," Clone added. "It'll be all right. You can at least get revenge against Jokel for him, and avenge those children by stopping a war from happening." Simone realized Clone was right, stood up, and started walking towards the New LEaf Academy.
