"Viki" Slowly, Simone woke up from his beauty sleep. To himself, he thought, "They really should have better beds here." Slowly, he walked downstairs, but was spoken to by the inn keeper. "Don't you want some breakfast, sir?" the inn keeper said mildly. "No, because if your food is anything at all like your beds, then this place will ruin my whole image!" Simone said. The inn keeper just ignored the snide remark about his inn. Sure, it didn't have the best beds in the world, but it was a living. When outside, Simone thought about why he REALLY didn't have any food. He didn't have enough money to indulge himself. He had spent his life savings upgrading Rhapsody (his sword) to the highest level, buying a Thunder rune, engraving the Thunder rune, getting clothing, getting cutom made armor plates that fit under his clothing, but were still very stong, and staying at the inn. He was not worried that he couldn't get buy, just that his skills would get weak. Slowly, he decided to head over to South Window, because maybe he could get some work or something of the sort there, and on the way could battle some monsters for some potch. As he left, he saw a strange blue light and said, "What is that?" Suddenly, a woman dressed all in blue appeared. "Huh! Where am I! This isn't south Window! And who are you?" She spoke in a worried voice. "I, Madam, am Simone Verdricci, and may I enquire who you are, and why you just appeared out of nowhere?" Simone said with the utmost tact. "I, Simone, am Viki. I got here when I failed in properly using my blinking rune," spoke Viki, more reassured now. "A BLINKING RUNE!" Simone said, forgetting his manners at the name of the rare rune. "Do you have any extras?" "Yes. One," Viki said, hoping to get some money. "And I can sell it for, oh... lets say... 50,000 potch." "I am sorry, but I do not have 50,000 potch," Simone said, slowly sprouting an idea, "but you said that you needed to go to South Window. How about a trade. I will wscort you there, btu only if you give me the rune in exchange." "Fine," Viki new it wasn't a great deal, but it was true that she wasn't the best of fighters, and company on the way would indeed be nice. "So lets get a move on." Slowly they were of. The whole time, they talked, and Simone often protected her from monsters, showing her how good of a warrior he was, despite his looks. One there, viki said, "Thanks for the company, and here you go." And handed him the rune, plus 300 potch. But just as the split paths, a gang of 4 men popped out of the shadows. "Hold it right their, freak. Give me all you two have, or die!" the main thug shouted. Mad at being called a freak, Simone said, "You stupid looking thugs, do you really think you can kill beautiful me, Simone Verdricci?" "YES!" all the thugs said in unison. They then charged at the two, obviously frightening Viki. But suddenly, Simone just raised his right palm and said, "SCOLDING!" A holy light flashed out, and the four thugs dropped dead, leaving Viki still frightened, but Simone fine, last saying, "BYE!" He then walked to the runmasters shop, and got the blinking rune engraved in his left palm. Then he realized that he needed Viki to teach him how to use it. So he went to the item shop, and when he saw Viki said, "Hello, Mrs. Viki. I need you to please teach me how to use the blinking rune." "Fine, just give me a sec," said Viki. So after she got her supplies, she told him to follow her. Finnaly, they got to the inn and each bought a room for the next ten days. For that time, Viki taught Simone how to use the rune properly, often saying how he was better than her at using the rune. At the end, she was off, and both wished each other good bye. He was glad to have the new teleportation rune, making travel fairly easy. Then he thought of where he should go, used the teqnique that Viki had taught him, and was off in a flash of blue.
