"Radat is Becoming a Major Hot Spot" (Radat) Shu woke up bright and early as he always did. He liked to get a feel for the area every morning. It also allowed him to contemplate the future. He got dressed and was soon walking in the breeze. Richmond was standing there waiting for him. "Hello, Richmond," Shu said. Richmond flipped his coin. "Have I got news for you!" Shu remained calm. "What might that be?" Shu asked. "Well, there would be a fee..." Shu handed him 2 one hundred-potch pieces. There was no point in arguing. "One of the six Toran generals was in town." Shu smiled. To think all these Toran people keep missing each other. "Well, who was it? Kai, Kasim, Valeria?" "Um..." Shu handed him another one hundred potch. "Valeria, she ran off with an elf." Well it made sense, Shu thought. She was involved with all those elves in Toran. Shu made it a habit to learn everything he could about each country. It made trading deals much easier. Shu figured she was probably in Jowston to learn about the Unicorn Brigade incident. Shu figured that Valeria being resourceful would be able to discover the truth. Shu without actually investigating it all was pretty sure it wasn't Jowston. It didn't REALLY add up. Besides L(r)uca Blight was a butcher. "I see...," Shu said. Richmond paused. "Well, maybe Toran will side with us?" "Perhaps," Shu said. "Well, anyway Richmond...I'm going to continue my walk." Richmond flipped his coin and walked off. Shu walked around town. He decided to get a drink at the pub. The pub was in its usual state. Clean yet still a pub. He approached the counter. There was a blond woman with short hair. She had a sword in sheath under her cloak. He ignored her. "One wine please," Shu asked. He dropped a potch or two on the counter and quietly picked up the wineglass, which was soon placed in front of him. "You, you're that trader Shu?" the woman suddenly asked him. "Yes," he replied. "Do you know who I am?" "A traveling swordswoman? I don't really care." "I'm Anita. And I need a job. Toran wouldn't give me a job because of THAT woman. So I have no one to hire my services to." "Well, I hope something comes along," Shu replied. He finished his wine and quickly exited before that woman could continue conversation. Shu had some things he wanted to plan out. He wasn't in the mood for idle chitchat. Anita was probably some sort of rival with Valeria. He didn't care. He had recognized the Falcon Rune that Anita had. Her description didn't fit anywhere close to Valeria. He neared Yoshino and Freed's house. He wondered when Freed would return. Suddenly as if almost on cue, Freed and a samurai entered into town. They were soaking wet. Their clothes were torn and ragged. He wondered what could possibly have happened. Shu shrugged and continued his walk.
