The Sugar Deal, Act 1 (Radat) Shu sat in an office in his big house. He shuffled through some of his papers. He liked his house in Radat. He like Radat. It was a good place to plan out his buisness deals. Like all harbor towns it was convenient. Shu looked up from his papers to see Richmond standing outside his window with his stupid coin. He did like to flip that. He probably wanted a stock tip. Shu stood up and shut the curtain. Ah, now he could read up on his financial journals. Then he heard a knock at his door. Shu wondered if McDohl was back. He was already slightly excited about the new trading position he was going to recieve. "Come in," he said. Instead one of Shu's lackeys came in. "Lord Shu, I have bad news. That representitive from Kuskus is here. About the sugar?" Shu thought to himself for a moment. The representitive from Kuskus. "Yes?" Shu asked. "Well, he says he wants to terminate the deal. He says if you don't meet him in the inn by 7:00 and lower your price he's going to go home." Shu swallowed. It really wasn't too big of a deal. It was a small deal. It wouldn't bring him too much profit. It almost wasn't worth his time. But of course if he ddin't make this deal, he would waste a whole lot of sugar he had acquired real cheap. Shu stood up. "Thank you," he said. The lackey bowed and left. Shu thought awhile to himself. He was going to need some investigating. First of all Shu was not going to lower the amount of profit he had expected. He stepped outside of his house to see Richmond standing there. "I figured you'd need my help," Richmond said. Shu looked Richmond over. He wore his patent trenchcoat as always. Richond flipped his coin in the air. "Yeah, I want you to find out if there's any skilled warriors in town." "Why do you want to know?" Richmond said with a smile. Shu satayed absolutely silent. He wasn't about to tell him his true reason. He didn't want to take the time to explain. Shu's logic baffled Richmond. Richmond was the first to speak, "Okay, Shu here's the deal. You give me 3000 potch and I'll do it." Shu frowned. Richmond was testing him. Shu turned his back to Richmond to re-enter the house. It produced the exact response he wanted. "Wait, wait..." Richmond said. "1000 potch." Shu put his hand on his door knob. "700." Shu opened his door. "Okay, okay, 350." Shu turned around. "200 and not a penny more." "Okay, okay I need the money." Shu opened his pouch and gave Richmond 100 potch. "I'll give you the rest when you get me my information. Meet me at the sluice gate." Richmond smiled and flipped his coin in the air. He walked off to the inn.
