"Psychic Forces" (Forest of Forest Village) It was a huge temple. Four towers surrounded the temple. Two towers at the front each had a griffon statue and the two other towers at the back had two gargoyle statues each. Inside was a courtyard and a tall stone building. The gates were made of iron and were stuck to two obelisks with ancient writing on it. Vines were dangling everywhere. Shiro could tell it wasn't Sindarin, because it was more of strokes and curves. The roof of the builing had a red glow circling around it. Something is definitely wrong, Shiro thought to himself. "Brr... it's getting colder and colder!" Wyna whined. "Oh shut up! You're a brat, always complaining and whining and-" Before Rowen could continue ranting, Wyna punched him in the stomach. "OOWWWWWWW!!! You nut! Why did ya do that for?!" Rowen howled in pain. "You're always teasing me and such!" Wyna started crying. "Aiyoooo! Be quiet! Do you want to awaken the monsters or whatever?! " Shiro's scolded the both of them. "Ahh... okay Shiro," Rowen obeyed the white wolf. Wyna just snorted. The breeze picked up, and soon became strong wind. The trees rustled wildly. Lightning cracked and it started to drizzle. "This, is getting spooky," Wyna commented. "I wanna go home!" Shiro sighed and had a big sweatdrop on his head. "Wyna. Don't you ever stop?" he said calmly. Right after he finished his sentence, the wind started howling wildly and howling could be heard from the temple. "Wha- what the heck is going on here?!" Rowen screamed. Just then, a red light appeared above them and with mysterious creature in it... And down it came crashing onto Shiro. "AHHHHHHH!!!" "Dey! My butt hurts.." the mysterious creature said. It landed right on top of Shiro. "EK!" Shiro squealed as the sudden weight dropped on him. "Uhhh.. you okay?" it asked. "DO I LOOK OKAY TO YOU?! YOU LANDED ON TOP OF ME AND NEARLY SQUASHED THE LIFE OUTTA ME!!" Shiro shot back. He then glanced up at it. What on earth is this furball..? he thought. It had two dragon-like horns on its head, short purple hair, crimson eyes, torn dragon wings, a weird samurai-like outfit, a metal headband with ornaments on it, silver boots and a huge battle axe on its back. It sounded like a female too. "Hey you, would you mind getting off me? And please tell me WHAT the hell ARE you?" Shiro growled. "Now!" She got off him quickly and casted a red sphere around the area. "There there. Now we won't be wet. I'm the First Holy Sister Asuko Nishima of Shinaia Temple. Just call me Asuko instead of that friggin' long name." Shiro blinked at her. "Hey wait, how can you understand what I'm saying?" he asked. "You see, I can understand what a creature's thinking or sayin', like you. And the people whom I know can hear what you're sayin' too.." Asuko winked at him. "It's a special ability." "ASUKO! Are you alright?" someone shouted. A Dragon Knight dashed out of the temple. He was dressed in red armor, a red cape and he had blonde hair. He stopped to catch his breath. "Asuko... please don't do that again." He looked at the trio. "Who are these people?" he said. "I'm Illivatar Felargund. I suppose you already know that i'm a Dragon Knight, by looking at my armor. Well, but I'm just a mercenary now." "I see!" Rowen and Wyna chimed in. "I'm Shiro. Those two over there are Rowen and Wyna, two Wingers who happen to accompany me from Two River. Nice to meet you," Shiro introduced. "So, where's your dragon?" Rowed asked while dancing around Illivatar. "Er... my dragon died guarding me, kiddo." Rowen stopped and blinked several times at Illivatar. "Oh... sorry to hear that." "It's okay kid," he replied with a calm voice. Rowen smiled at him, with dreamy eyes. "I wanna be like him when I grow up!" "What were you doing in there anyway?" Shiro asked. "Heh, this place is called the Castahmir Temple. But... since it's late night, can I ask the Winger kids to go back to Two River first? You're in a dangerous situation with me... so I think it'd be best if they stayed out of this. I think they'll be eaten up at first sight," she told all of them. "E-eat us? My god, let's get out of here Rowen!" Wyna said as she tugged Rowen's hand. "A-ah alright. I'll see you back at Two River, Shiro! Be sure to visit us too. OH! What about the monsters?" Rowen said as he waved farewell to Shiro, Asuko and Illivatar. "Okay," agreed Shiro. "We'll deal about the monster thing later." Wyna waved as she and Rowen walked out of the forest. "Oh... i think you need to save time kids," Asuko commented and lifted her right hand. A purple sphere enclosed Rowen and Wyna in it and it went spiralling into the air, sending the both of them in the direction of Two River of course. "How... how on earth did you do that?" Shiro asked, as he was getting more suspicious of her. "Eh... ah... uhm, long story," she simply said. "Anyway, i was searching for Shiaku, a sacred spirit me and my sister Kemuiy Nishima are supposed to take care of. But seven years ago, she dissapeared from Shinaia Temple. Since our race, the Seryian, used to live in Harmonia... We had a small war with Fenris, a legendary beast who want Shiaku. I don't know the reason either. It destroyed my village. Completely. My sister and I took refuge in the Shinaia Temple up in the Aelin-Eithiel mountains. Thank god we were only at the age of eight back then. Anyway, our race was wiped out. I don't know if there are any other survivors, though. I met Illivatar a few years after that, since we found that jerk Illivatar fainted in a stream nearby the temple," Asuko finished telling Shiro part of her history. "I'm no jerk!" he shot back. "Hee... just joking," Asuko said, jabbing him in the waist. "Enough of jokes you two, I think we should rest. We all had a long day. I'm goin' ta sleep now. G'night!" Shiro said as he dragged himself to the nearest log and curled up to sleep. "Ah.. i'll go to sleep now too. Goodnight, Asuko," said Illivatar and he slept under a nearby tree. "Oh heck. I might as well get some rest too," Asuko thought. She climbed up the tree that Illivatar was sleeping under and sat on a branch. She looked up at the stars and closed her crimson eyes thus falling into a deep sleep. "Yo, Asuko... Can you hear me? Kemuiy here. I'm currently held captive underground... under the temple. Fenris is guarding over me and there's a magical barrier at the temple gates. I don't know how much longer i can possess Shiaku. Please come and help me before it's too late. He has awaken... once again. Oh, and it's dawn you idiot." "WHA DEH CRAP?! AND I'M NOT AN IDIOT!" Asuko woke up instantly. Nervous sweat ran down her forehead. My god, i have to save her! Asuko jumped off the branch and shook Illivatar to wake him up. "Maeh? It's only dawn. Oh well, life ain't easy as a mercenary," he yawned sleepily. "Heheh, you're right. Now let's wake that mutt up," Asuko said. She shook Shiro gently, but he didn't respond. Asuko sighed, thus taking a twig and poking it at Shiro's nose. His nose twitched and he sneezed. "What the... HEY! Even animals need their sleep, y'know..." Shiro growled at the cheeky Seryian. "Geez, this was the last resort. So..." Asuko's voice trailed off. "Heh," Shiro muttered, digging his paw into the ground. Asuko looked up at the temple. "Um, i'll go into the temple first," she told the two of them. "Castahmir Temple, here I come!" Asuko thought to herself as her adrenaline started to pick up. She ran into the temple. Shiro sleepily looked up at her. "Illivatar, is Asuko always like that?" Illivatar stopped walking. "You'll find out why... Later," he replied. They both looked at Asuko charging into the temple, her torn wings flapping in its so called 'glory'. "Fenris! I will KILL you! A hundred years has passed!" Asuko yelled thus jumping high into the air and crashing onto the temple roof. A h-hundred years..? Shiro thought. He grew more suspicious of Asuko, as he felt strange when he was near her.
