Shin has taken a small table in a corner of the big room. He rented a room at this Inn last night.
He was a lucky man now. He has his breakfast, noone is going to bother him and he is far away from all the war. Shin cant stop his smile. He looked at his breakfast and started to eat.

Finally the door to the Inn got opened loud and one young woman with a leather Armor and a saber at her side enters the room. Three man in Chainarmor and each one wearing a sword and a spear were following her. The for persons were standing on the floor while the woman looked at every guest long and quiet. She seamed like she is searching for someone special. Shin didnt got interuppted by this, he turned back his face to eat his breakfast.

"Yes! You!" a female voice said.
Shin was making a confused face and then turned around. The woman were pointing her finger at him and whispered some words to her partners. Then they all walked up to him. With each step the heavy boots of the woman, who seemed to be the leader of this gang, whatever they are, made noises like chains. Shin turned back to his breakfast.

*Why cant i even be alone during my breakfast?*

"Look, this sword! Thats the one were searchin' for, eh?" The woman said to her partners.
"Yeah...impressive. But can he fight with it?" one of the man asked.
"Well, why should he carry such a sword around if he cant fight, huh?" the woman laughed.

*What the hell?*

"Hey there! You look like you can fight with a sword. Are you interessted in gettin' som'oney?" The woman asked.

"What job?" Shin asked slowly without looking at theire faces.

"Well, we need someone for guiding a convoi. Maybe we got attacked and then we have to defend it. heh..." the woman said.

"Ah" Shin said while eating his breakfast. He still dont watched at the gang.

One of the man seemed confused. "What do you mean? ah?!" he asked.

Shin now turned his face to them. In his eyes were shown the feeling of a brave, lonely fighter.
This look seems to make the party nervouse. Noone could watch into his eyes for longer then a few seconds. One of the man truned his head to not come into Shins view. It scares him.
"Well, i need more informations. If you think im a stupid man who comes along only for the money without knowing more about the job, then you are wrong here." Shin said bravely.

"Oh...y..yes... hehe... well. We are the convoi. There is someone else but hes not here. We're doing the job for lady Devina. If you're interessted in the job you should come to the meating this evening." The woman said.

"Okay, i will be there. Now leave me alone. I dont like it to get interuppted when im alone. Okay?" Shin said angrily.

"Yes..." They all said with one voice and then left the inn with fast steps.

Shin had to smile.

*Wow, im as impressive like in my old days.*

Shin returned to his breakfast. As he got finished he stands up and walked up to the Barkeeper.
"Here, for the room and for the meal. It was nice. I think when im in Muse again ill visit you." Shin smiled friendly. He hand over some pochs to the Barkeeper.

"Thank you, sir. It was nice that you used our service. Im glad that you are lucky." The Barkeeper said.
Shin nods. "Goodbye"

Until the evening he walked around the city of Muse. He likes this place. He had much time to think about his future. He had to return to lady Teresa soon. Maybe she needs his help. But some money would be good. So he decided to take the job if it is okay. His loyality belongs to lady Teresa, thats sure, but if he see a good reason to make the job he will come along.

As the sun touches the horizon and the last light disapeared into darkness Shin walked up to the House of Lady Devina. He was wondering what this convoi is about. as he reached the door of the big, impressive building he knocked at the big, wooden door.
A small window got opened. "Whats the matter?" a woman voice asked. Shin recognized the woman from this morning.
"Youre ordering me to this builing and then asking what the matter is? Shouldn't i be the one who asked this?" Shin replied cold.
"Oh...sorry... its you huh?" the woman said and opened the door "C'mon, enter..he"
Shin didnt say anything. He only looked into the womans eyes with a cold look and entered the building. The hall wich he entered into was a big room. The floor and the walls were made by white marble. The lights of the torches hanging on the wall was reflected by it and that gives the whole room a golden shimmer. In the middle of the room was standing a long wooden table and around that were standing comfortable looking chairs. Around the table were sitting the three man from this morning, another man in armor, but he looks more friendly then the rest, and a woman in a red robe. The woman guided him to a chair. Shin sat down and looked around. The three man from this morning were hiding his view. The other man holf his hand towards Shin. "Hello my name is Wolf." Shin didnt give him his hand but replied friendly "Nice to meet you. Im Shin from Greenhill."
"Thank you for your interesst in helping us Mr. Shin." a strange woman voice said. Shin turned his head and looked at the lady in the red robe. She was a about 30year old, good looking woman with long blond hair and blue eyes. She seemed to be very sad. Shin noded. He couldnt turn his eyes away from the eyes of the lady. There were so much feelings in it. He felt like he was looking into lady teresas eyes. Everytime when she looked like that Shin asked her about the matter. And they talked about her problems the whole night. Until the sun rose.
"My name is Lady Devina." The woman said with a confused look.
"Nice to meet you." Shin replied. He felt how everyone was starring at him. He must have been away with his mind. He felt embrassed.
"Lady Julia, can you please explain Sir Shin and sir Wolf what's the reason for this meeting is?" Julia was the name of the leader of this mercenary gang. She nodded.
"Well, 3 days ago a messenger from Muse was sent with an important writing to Greenhill. On her way she got kidnapped. She never reached the mayor of Greenhill, Lady Teresa. The messengers name was Lady Orinia Blackwind. I dont know anything bout the mission. Last night a letter came to Lady Devina..."
Julia got interupted by Lady Devina.
"Here is the letter. I will read:
Lady Devina,
We have taken Lady Blackwind as our prisonier. If you arent handling out a summary of 500.000 poch we will kill her and sent her head back to you. Bring the money to the great Waterfalls north of muse. Then Lady Blackwind will get free... This letter came from the Waterfall bandits. Thats a group of liberating folks. We still dont know theire target..."
Shin noded. "You are going to hand over the money to the bandits now?" he asked.
Lady Devina replied: "Yes, and we need to protect it. So that the money reached the target without problems."
Shin has fallen into deep thoughts.
After a few moment he nods: "I will come along" he sayd softly.
Lady Devinas eyes showed happiness: "Tha...thank you sir Shin!" The other mercanary noded too.

As Shin left the building he was thinking about tomorrow. He was hopeing if everything is going the way it should. After he reached a small sidestreet he got surrounded by two shadows.
Shin was confused: "Who are you? What do you want from me?" he asked slowly, moving his hand to his sword.
"We need your money man!" One of them sayd. Then the two man pulled out theire swords and startet to ran up to him while circling the swords over theire heads.
Shin reacted fast. He jumped back pulling out his sword, defending the first attack. He felt how the other attacker swang down his sword behind him. Shin jumped around, defending this attack also. His situation was not too good. He was in a small sidestreet. Not enough room for reacting fast enough and one enemie infront, and the other one behind him. Shin looked above. There was nothing he could jump on. Then the second attack started, the man in the front tried to ramm his sword into Shins chest. Shin hold up his sword while he jumped aside, then he stroke down his sword on the other so heavily that the attacker lost his sword. Very fast Shin truned his sword around and hits the other attacker with the flat side of his sword. He hit his face and the enemie drifted back, holding his hands infront of his face. Then shin gave him a knock with the end of his sword and the man falled on his knees. During this time the remaining attacker grabbed his sword and was now attacking Shin. Shin hits him with a strike with the top end of his sword. He didnt hit him seriously, just to let him drifting away then he knocked this one out with the flat side of his sword, too.
After the battle was over Shin observed the two man. One has passed out, the other one couldnt move because shin has put his feet on his chest. He did never seen these man before. They looked like normally passengers.
"Why did you attack me?" Shin asked the one.

"Because we wanted to steal your money." the bandit replied.
