Sheena Chapter 4
"Reunions and Rematches"
(Muse Countryside)

Sheena layed in the bed pondering his current situation. Here he was locked in a room at a quaint backwoods inn by a sadistic butler. He had a date in two days, but did Giovanni understand that? Noooo! Who died and made him my nursemaid anyway. Sheena scowled. More like who decided to play god with his life again. Once he finished his plans, he was going back to the Toran republic to have a long talk with dear old dad. And maybe he could feed Giovanni to one of those poison moths along the way.

All of a sudden there was a huge commotion from downstairs. Sheena immediately lept from the bed and crashed into the door. He then proceeded to writh in agony on the floor. Why was he the only one who couldn't bust down a door? The door flung open to reveal an old man with white hair and a pencil thin mustache. Sheena looked up at the manifestation of evil before him. One day, Giovanni would pay for all this. Of course when Giovanni reached down and proceeded to pick him up by the ear, he realized today would not be that day.

Sheena stumbled downstairs to find a joyous scene. Yori had returned, with Pete in tow. Hilda and Alex were practically sobbing at their good fortune, and even Giovanni was smiling. Sheena looked at Yori and immediately realized something was wrong. "Yori?" The young boy looked up, and had an angry look in his eyes. Sheena nodded. "Meet me outside." The two walked out to the porch, where Yori proceeded to kick the banister repeatedly and forcefully.

Yori turned and glared at Sheena. "What the hell is her damn problem?"

Sheena smiled. "Lorelai. Let me guess, she's off saving the day by herself, and told you to wait here." Yori nodded. Sheena simply shook his head. "Yori, my friend, Lorelai has always been like that, and always will. She's a loner by nature, and to be blunt, a bitch at heart. If she has one."

"She does! Ive seen it..." Yori looked to the south. "But I'm not waiting around for her. Let her worry about me for a change."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm headed down to Ryube. See some old friends. Catch up on the news. I hear there's some kind of fort being built down there." Yori hopped over the banister, and looked over his shoulder. "If you see her, tell her I said bye." Sheena nodded as Yori walked off.

Well that was blunt. Sheena looked in through the window and saw the happy family, Giovanni serving some food. No matter what he says, he's still a butler at heart. Sheena smiled. Course he wasn't too bright. Sheena took off running down the road. He stopped about a mile later and started laughing. It had been that easy, he'd just ran away. "Well now that I'm out in the open, I'd best prepare myself...." His hand slipped down to his side, and he realized he had left Kirinji behind. "Oh no... Well Giovanni can take it back to Dad, I never use the thing anyway!"

Back at the White Deer Inn, a very irate Giovanni was pacing back and forth, and every few steps would put his wrist to his ear and say "Hello?" How dare he leave like a thief in the night? Giovanni kicked a stone out of his way. He even left behind his father's sword. He still acts like a spoiled brat. I swear, when I catch that boy... All of a sudden his cufflinks started to shine.

"Giovanni, what is it? This device is only supposed to be used for timed reports. You'll run the battery down anyway else."

Giovanni grimaced. "I let Sheena get away. He also managed to leave your sword behind."

The voice at the other end went silent for a moment. "I see... Take Kirinji with you, and finish the second objective of your mission. I need those numbers ASAP, Ive found out some disturbing news."

"And Sheena?"

"He's grown. He can deal with any problems he bumps into him self." There was an audible click from the cuff, as the other side closed connection.

Giovanni barely managed to say "Yes Lepant" in time. Next stop? Coronet. Then catch the ferry to Kuskus, and a brief "stay" in South Window. Long enough to get a grasp of it's military strength anyway. Giovanni returned into the inn, to grab his bags.

Sheena had spent the last hour walking in a blissfully ignorant daze. The sun was out, the grass was green, the birds were singing, everything was perfect. He had a date with a gorgeous girl in less than 48 hours, and his father's machinations were far from his mind. Nothing could ruin this day, he thought as he looked down. Not even a squirrel in a tuxedo. "What the?!?! A squirrel in a tuxedo!" Sure enough there was a squirrel in a tux at Sheena's feet.

The squirrel looked up and smiled. "Mukuus muk mukumuku. Mu muk mukuk mu mukmuk muk mukumuk MUK mukumuku. Muku muk mu mukukuuuuuuu!"

Translation for those who dont speak squirrel? "Ladies and gentlemen. We are proud to present the rematch YOU demanded. Let's get ready to rumbleeeeeee!"

Sheena looked at the little squirrel, picked it up, and punted it into the sunset. He proceeded to dust off his hands when a cloud of smoke appeared in front of him. Out of the cloud stepped the Target Lady he had fought earlier that week. Before he could react, she had blown him an explosive kiss, and sent him flying.

The target lady glared at the boy. "Why are you so mean? My little squirrles just like to play, and you kick and stab them like some kind of madman!"

Sheena rose slowly to his feet, and reached for a sword that wasnt there. "Damn!" He quickly placed himself in a fighting stance his dad had taught him. He could still hear the old man's voice.

"The key to fighting without a weapon is to keep as close as possible, and always stay on target. Now tell me. What do you see at the end of your fists?"

Sheena looked down his arms and past his fists.

"What do you see at the end of your fists?"

Sheena realized he was staring at the Target Girl's chest and chuckled. "Lunch." He barely looked up in time to see the fireball headed straight for his head. The impact sent him head over heels, and he sprawled out on the ground. The Target Lady stalked over and sat on his stomach.

"You like to beat on my squirrels for fun and play? Lets see how you enjoy that life for a day!" The Monster then kissed Sheena square on the lips. He was wracked with extreme pain as soon as the contact was made. It felt like his entire body was being ripped apart. He immediately went unconscious from the pain.

He awoke several hours later, near the shoreline. He was wrapped in some kind of blanket he thought. But as he stood up and crawled to the nearby water, he realized that they were his own clothes. Shrugging the fact off, he proceeded to splash cold water on his face. He immediately realized something was wrong. It felt like he was covered in fuzz! He looked down into the water and saw why. What he saw was a cute little squirrel, with golden fur. He stumbled away from the water cursing.

Of course any witness would have just heard a squirrel saying, "Muku muk muuk?"
