“Seed?” Krugan called from the horse next to him.

“Bah? Oh sorry Krugan, I was just thinking about our orders.” He replied in a disturbed voice.

“Yes, it is odd. Lord Ruka seems to be acting quite odd these past few days. Desperately gathering allies like there is no tomorrow, especially after we just signed a peace agreement with the Jowston State.”

“I suppose it would be logical to send such accomplished swordsmen like us to take the Harmonian prince across the Matilda Knightdom.” At that moment, one of Seed’s soldiers approached.

“Lord Seed, Lord Krugan. Our forward scouts have encountered a small troop of Matilda White Knights.” The soldier said quickly.

Seed thought about this event. “Order them to fall back to us and we will take care of them personally.”

“Yes my Lord.” The soldier replied and ran forward.

“Well this shouldn’t be terribly difficult to overcome.” Krugan told his friend. Seed nodded his head as he nudged his horse.

“Yah, Yah.” He yelled to the horse and they two sped off ahead. It was not long until he saw the Matilda knights and Highland soldiers at each other. They outnumbered the Highland forwards, but these knights were little of a challenge for the two Generals. “I advise you to move on knight.” Seed yelled to the head Matildian.

“We of Matilda do not take orders from Highland soldiers who trespass on our land,” the Knight replied.

Seed and Krugen looked at each other and nodded. Seed then drew his sword from his sheath and ordered the Highlanders to attack. The Matilda knights replied by raising their swords and bows. Krugan and Seed dismounted of their horses and joined the battle. The two attacked the nearest knight. Seed raised his sword to block the knight and swung it ‘thumping’ the knight to the ground. Seed commanded the third company so his few men he had here were obviously better trained than these Matilda freshmen. The battle was over quickly as Seed and Krugan caught their breath and witnessed the fallen Matilda Knights, there white capes stained red with each others blood. Seed then counted the dead Highland soldiers and found but a few.

The lead soldier approached him. “My Lord, we are vict-“

Seed cut him off. “I have eyes, let’s proceed to Harmonia once the men are gathered.” Seed ordered.

“Yes my Lord.” The soldier continued to gather the men.

Krugan noticed Seed’s mood and tried to cheer him up. “Your sword skills are slipping,” he said with a smile.
