Sasuke Chapter 2
"Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire"

What a strange fix I'm in now. After having found the crystal, which I now know to be a Darkness rune, but before having learnt of what it is capable of, I was mortified to hear Ol' Granny Tada screaming out words that I should have uttered had I been at my post.

"A SPY!"

"A SPY?" said I, a look of bewilderment on my face and complete panic as I realised it was still my shift. Grabbing my rune and heading out into the street, I saw the spy, subdued by the very same Grandmother Tada. I tried to avoid to avoid the scene but I was caught by Hanzo-sensei, and was placed into this detention cell together with the foriegner.

Sasuke looked about him, the cell was clean but cramped and damp. He imagined on several occasions a rat brushing against his leg, but it only proved to be the strange hemp-fixed blue socks the stranger wore. Indeed, the cell was so cramped, made for one person instead of two, that he found himself an uncomfortable distance from the young girl, that being no distance at all.

Awkward could not begin to describe how this feels. I know that when I am released in the morning, when the spy recieves her hearing, that I will be subject to the unsilencable torture that will be handed to me by Mondo. The old coot has taken an interest in my becoming a teenager and is constantly making lewd comments about me and Kasumi, all because of my age! Imagine the jest he shall make of this, alone in a cell with a girl! Guh...

"Mmm.." the foreigner stirred slightly in her magically induced sleep. The boy-ninja prayed more than anything that she would not awaken, he offered the gods his comfortable life in Rokkaku, his life, skill, honor, whatever they wanted, just so long as the stranger remained asleep. Lucky for him, the gods were being generous.

Phew. Close, much to close. Oh... how did I get myself into this mess?! It was that horrible beady-eyed yellow freckled groundhog! It had to give me some excitement in my life, and now I know it gave me a bit too much excitement, or in this, mortification.

He examined the strange girl closely. She had on a large white cap, a blue dress that was missing sleeves but covered the arms even though it failed to conceal the shoulders. Her hair was an auburn, a deep brown that flowed down behind her. It was nothing like anything he had seen ever in Rokkaku, save perhaps Kasumi's revealing ninja garb. What was more, there was only one layer of clothing, letting one see the shape of body and... Sasuke flushied beat red when he caught himself staring a bit too intently and turned away instinctively, only to be met with another space consuming object marked in big bold letters, "Millie."

Doesn't Hanzo have any sense of mercy? First he sticks me in the same detention cell as the stranger when it is clearly made for one person and then places all of her belongings in with us! *poke* What is in this?! Feels like a ton of bricks! And... there are two of them!? How was she able to carry all of this over the ladders?

He glanced again at the girl, whose name he guessed now to be "Millie". She didn't seem like the type who could carry this much luggage up the ladders. He found her fragile and meek, at least by appearance. The way she slept was peaceful, deep, and innocent. He gauged that she must have been tired upon arriving to Rokkaku, an analogy made by the intensity of her sleep and the amount of baggage she carried with her.

They'll interigate her in the morning, Sasuke thought, Then what of me? I don't think she's a spy, no spy would be so blatant or carry so much around, at least not if that spy was a ninja, of course.

His thoughts were interrupted by another stirring. Looking, he saw her move around a bit more, shifting her head position from the right wall to the left wall. Then, catching the boy-ninja by surprise, she leaned forward and hugged him.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" he let cry, trying to scramble away into a non-existant corner from a non-breakable hold.

"Uh...?" the stranger blinked away, looking at the boy-ninja infront of her and in her arms, "Eek! Hentai!"

Millie backed off into her corner again where she had been asleep and Sasuke was left with a red handprint on his left cheek.

"Ow! ... what was that for, huh?!"

"You're a pervert, I treated you like one! Knocking a girl unconscious and then staying with her in this cramped and uncomfortable room! Ecchi to the core!"

Sasuke felt the indenture to his pride. Who does she think she is? She hugged me first and it's not my fault we're in this room together and she's the one who should get yelled at anyway, she's the spy!! All Sasuke could manage, despite his thoughts was a, "Guhhh..." as he stared up her leg to a slightly more revealing short-skirt before she quickly clamped down on it with her right hand and went for his cheek with her left.

*slap*

"Ah!! Of all things! Being trapped in here with a hentai!" the person Sasuke guessed as Millie now lamented.

*slap*

"Hey?! AGAIN?!"

"You were staring up my skirt!!"

"Yeah, but you slapped me twice!!"

"BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT!!" she screamed, "HELP! Get me out of here!! There's a pervert with me inside!!"

Sasuke groaned inwardly as he heard the familiar voice reply, "Don't worry, that's just Sasuke and besides, he likes someone else! Don't you Sasuke? Too bad it isn't Kasumi in there!"

Great. Mondo. Of all the things I needed most, of all the guards that could have been posted to the cell,/ Ihad to have Mondo. The old coot is actually staying up at this insane hour just to keep eyes on me?! Why? Why?

"Go away, Mondo!" he yelled through the wooden door dryly.

"Is that anyway to show your appreciation for your guardian, Sasuks?"

"It is if you treat me the way you do!!"

"I'm just contributing to your education as a man!" he shot back.

"WHAT ABOUT ME?! I'M IN A STRANGE CRAMPED CELL WITH A PERVERT!!" Millie shrieked, turning herself so her back faced Sasuke and kicking furiously at the door, "LET ME OUT!!"

Sasuke buried his head in his hands, he didn't need this right now. First he had to be locked up by Hanzo in this small cramped cell, then he had to be accused of perversion by a spy, and finally, the coup de grace, Mondo.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEk" Millie continued the barrage, "LET ME OUT!!!"

The boy-ninja, amidst all the wild screaming and kicking, heard a pair of light footsteps coming towards the cell from the outside. They couldn't possibly have been Mondo's, the goat too incapable of being descreet, and that left only one conclusion.

"Master Hanzo!" he heard Mondo salute outside, "I do apoligize, the captives will be punished for waking you up at this late hour.

Punished?! Who does Mondo think he is? If anyone is to be punished, it would be him! Why, it's not my fault I'm trapped in here with a over-conscious female!

"Quit touching me, hentai." said over-conscious female hissed gratedly, "Not unless you want me to complain to the higher authority of this cell... why am I here anyway?!"

"I can't help it! This is a cell made for one person, and it's made worse by YOUR excessive amount of luggage!" Sasuke replied, his tone just as annoyed, "As for why you are here, you are a spy, and spies are placed in here until interrogated by Master Hanzo!"

"I'm not a spy!" Millie said, "I'm just here looking for Bonapa-"

The door opened and silence filled the cell as the mysterious eyes of Master Hanzo stared at the two cell mates through his shrouded face, "You two, come."

"We'll continue this later, ecchi." Millie glared as she brought herself to her feet, grabbed her luggage, making sure to swat Sasuke over the head with one while yanking it from behind him, and strode behind Master Hanzo indignantly.

I don't know why, really, but this is going to be one loooooong night... Sasuke thought as he followed in step.

Mondo looked at him with a mocking gaze and Sasuke could only bring himself to mutter, "Bah..."
