Sasuke Chapter 13
"Girls Are Like A Box Of Chocolates"
(En Route to Radat)

It has been a few days since their violent break-up; Sasuke was both glad and sad. Glad because he was free, free from that judgmental and selfish Highlander girl. Free from the painful abuse and ridicule he had to endure in her hands just because of some misunderstandings. Free…Free from HER!

But Sasuke was also sad because in spite of their differences, deep, deep down inside of him, he’d kind of…what’s the word? …

Likethat’s it I kind have grown to like her. Bah, whom am I kidding? Admit it Sasake, your one sick ecchi of a hentai. Only a baka would go through that hell, there and then and back again without ever complaining.

Better stop dwelling on that, must focus, got to look forward, to South Window and to the task at hand given to me by Lord Hanzo. But to get to South Window, I must pass to Radat.

Radat. Brings back memories…Sasuke shrug off the thought; he hopes nobody will recognize him once he gets there.

Besides I’ll just be passing by, and then it’s off to South Window before anyone would notice me.

He was in heaven…

“Hmmm…What ever these are…they…hmmm…taste good…and…sweet. And I can’t seem to…hmmm…stop myself…hmmm…” Sasuke was gobbling up the strange gaijin food that was in abundance in Millie’s duffle bags. He liked especially the dark brown filled stuff.

It took almost forever for Sasuke to decide what to do with Millie’s luggage. One of his options was to find her and to return them to her. Sasuke shuddered at the notion; he would rather die than to go through all that again.

“I’m…hmmm…sure she wouldn’t mind…. hmmm… Besides it’s her fault things have come to this…” Sasuke gulp down the dark brown, sweet, gummy stuff along with the lump in his heart.

Why. Why do I have these feeling for that girl? I never felt this way not since…Kasumi.

”What do you mean it can never be?” the ninja-boy flustered.

”Just exactly what I mean, Sasuke.” Kasumi responded. Her thoughts were troubled. She did not want to hurt Sasuke’s feelings but its necessary if it’s to dispel any misunderstandings.

Sasuke had this shocked look in his face. His heart was fluttering like a bird wanting release from its cage. His insides felt all twisted, giving him a sickening sensation. All in all he had a bad feeling on what Kasumi was going to say.

“I’m sorry Sasuke if you taught of me that way but it would never work out between us. Besides I’m seventeen and you’re just eleven. I’m practically like a big sister to you. And…my heart belongs to someone else.”

There it is Sasuke just as you feared.

“W-Who…who is this? Tell me.” The ninja-boy asked meekly, his voice was quivering.

“Why should I even be telling you this? Please Sasuke don’t make any harder than it is. Can’t we just be the best of friends?”

Friends…Friends…Yeah right…Friends?

“FINE! BE IT THAT WAY!” And with that the boy-ninja sprinted through the village.

“SASUKE!”

And into the forest the ninja-boy went.

“Sasuke…” Kasumi lamented.

Into the forest Sasuke went, not caring, not knowing where he was heading. His head was reeling as his world seem to spin out of control. His eyes were blurred with hot tears. And his heart was pounding fast, like it was about to explode, he wanted to die…

Friends…just friends…?

“Women. Bah, they’re all the same. They start by giving you these false signals and when you get too close they make all these excuses. Humph…hmm…at least these things make me feel somewhat better. I wonder…hmmm…why?” Sasuke had all but gorged the last of Millie’s goodies by this time, unaware of the consequences that would befall him very soon…
