"Unicorn Brigade" (Umm...the Unicorn Brigade) "Come on! Punch harder! This is war, not hide-and-go-seek! Come on, hit that post harder! 1, 2, 3, 4! Keep goin, I'll be right back!" Rowd said. He was yelling at the Unicorn Brigade, a group of youth soldiers. Did Rowd want this? Of course not! He walked into his nearby tent, to find Prince Ruka standing in it. "Wha..?!" said Rowd in surprise. "Happy to see me?" said ruka, "I have some special orders for you. These kids are to be slaughtered, each and every one of them. You know why, right?" Rowd looked up, "Yes, it is an affective strategy. Sounds full-proof sir. These kids will all be corpses by tonight." "Very good, Rowd. Keep it up." Ruka said this as he dissapeared from Rowd's tent. Rowd thought to himself, "Ha ha ha! This is great! This should be much more fun..." That night, Rowd lit a fire in the middle of the camp, while ohter soldiers began to shower the place with arrows. Rowd ran into all of the tents saying "Go on! Get outta here, take the east exit!" Now, these "exits" were being gaurded by more soldiers, so they wold be killed too. Many boys came running to Rowd for protection, but all Rowd did was show them the exit...to death. Soldiers came rushing in with torches, lighting everything on fire. With them, was Ruka Bright. Ruka looked at Rowd, "So here you are, Loud." "Yes, Lord Ruka." Rowd replied. He hated the stupid pet name "Loud", infact, he despised it. "You did everything I told you. Good, now you will be rewarded as such." "Yes??" said Rowd, he was very eager, hoping for promotion. "First, I will give you your own unit of REAL soldiers, not children..." said Ruka. "And...?" Rowd had to hear the second part, he had been waiting for this for so long! This day is the best day of his life, he thought! "Well," he said, stepping towards Rowd with a twisted smirk, "just between you and me, I have a sister..." At first, Rowd was confused. But then he realized that Ruka meant to give his sister to him. "Wow! His sister must be beautiful!" Rowd thought to himself. Ruka's eyes seemed to trail off to the left, then he screamed, "A SURVIVOR! GET HIM!!!" A group of soldiers ran off towards where the boy ran. When they returned the told Ruka that he had been killed. But Rowd could tell that they were lying... "Loud," said Ruka as he mounted his horse, "accompany us to L'Renouille. There we well get to know your unit." "Thank you, Prince Ruka," said Rowd, "I will be honored to escort you." Ruka burst into laughter as he rode away on their horses, this disturbed Rowd. No sooner had he said that, Ruka looked down into the valley which encased Kyaro and saw that very same boy that he had seen... that very same boy that was SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD! "WHAT?!" he bellowed, absolutely furious. "What is it?" asked Rowd. "That boy..." He glared upon the soldiers, centering his eyes directly upon the man who had lied to him. "That same boy... you said you killed him," he snarled, leaping off of his horse, advancing on the man. "He was to die tonight with his comrades... but YOU LET HIM GET AWAY!!!!" The soldier stared at Ruka in horror, his eyes widening to enormous proportions. He trembled, backing away from his prince slowly... slowly... "DIE!!!!!" Ruka barreled into the man, knocking him flat on his back, then drew his sword and plunged it into the hapless soldier's chest, blood droplets splattering upon Ruka's face. Ruka smiled viciously, looking back at his horrified underlings. He climbed upon his horse again, and they all began to return home to a warm welcome. Back at the camp, Frank watched his brother ride away, "Oh big brother, you have gotten yourself into a big mess now!"
