"Love in the Strangest Places" (Muse) The sun was high in the blue sky. Many people were out and about, most of which were out for getting a bite to eat. "Must be around that time," Pico said to himself, "time for lunch." "I haven't eaten for a while and I'm starved." Pico started to head toward the tavern. There was a mob of people near the entrance of Muse. It caught Pico's attention. "Well food can wait I gotta see what the fuss is all about." Pico headed toward the crowd. He had to push his way through the mass of people to get to the head of the mob. He saw a guard standing at the gate motioning people to move away. "Back away everyone!," yelled the guard, "We have had word of a war starting and for the safety of the people of the capital of the City-State, no one may enter or leave Muse without a good reason." "But what about my work, i'm a traveling peddler, I must move from town to town to make money for my family?," yelled a man. "I only came here to buy some food for my wife and two children, now how will they eat?," cried another man. Many other people were complain and yelling. Pico was getting a headache from all the commotion. All he wanted to do now was get some grub. Pico walked to the tavern. He had just sat at a table when a beautiful young lady with about midback length hair and gleaming blue eyes came up to him. "What can i get you?," said the girl. Pico who was amazed that such a pretty girl was working here stared at her and started to studder and mumble. "Wha-wa-wa-What?" stumbled Pico. The girl blushed and giggled. "Your order," the young woman said. "Oh... oh yeah, I'll have a turkey sandwich and a glass of water please," Pico replied. The waitress brought Pico his food. Pico ate his food happily. He was very hungry. Later Pico decided he would ask this woman what her name was and if she was single. When the girl brought his bill he finally had the nerve to ask. "What is your name?" Pico asked. "My name is Jen." she answered. Pico then asked, "Jen... well... are you currently seeing anyone?" "No, not at the moment," she replied. Pico took this opportunity to his full advantage. "Well would you like to accompany me as I go play my guitar on the street corner tomorrow?" asked Pico. "Sure," Jen replied. "Well then... I'll see you tomorrow then... in the morning," Pico said as he paid Jen the money. "Goodbye, oh and what is your name?" Jen asked. "Pico, my name is Pico," he answered as he left the tavern. "Jen," Pico thought "what a beautiful name." He went to the inn. Tired from such a wonderful day. "How could life be any better?," he thought.
