"Escape from Friendship" (Gregminster) "Bout' time you woke up......" Pahn rubbed his head. She was there when he woke up from that odd dream. How long was he..... "You were out for about a week this time. Where ever your plan to go, you might want to forget about it for a while." She smiled and her moved her head towards a vase of flowers. "You came close you know, being sent there. Luckily a friend of mine attacked when she did. She told me that you were injured and a few of us helped you out." She smiled again. "Maybe before we continue this conversation, we ought to know what to call each other. My name is Angelo." Silence. "It's okay, I guess I'll find out later, if you speak that is." She turned her head back at Pahn. "This is a old abandon fortress that some of us found. We use it to shelter orphans in need. It's hard for a couple of kids to patch it up, but with a little work, we were able to do it. I wasn't one of them. I was taken in seven years ago." She stopped for a second. "Just a few years ago, the O.P., that's short for Orphan Patrol, started hailing kids to that prison by the handful. I've even heard of parents paying the O.P. to kidnap or take the kids because they didn't want them anymore...bastards." Pahn shuttered. "So that's....what they were doing? They didn't want me around....I would understand why but.....sending there kids off to the orphanage, my God!" "Got something on your mind?" Pahn's eyes snapped up to Angelo's eyes again. "I'm sorry, I guess it's none of my business. And sorry I bored you with that long story. I tend to talk alot." She headed towards the door. "When you get out of here, maybe if you stay, I can show you around. "See you around..." She started to walk out the door. "Pahn. My name is...Pahn." Angelo turned around. "Pahn. I knew you could talk." Pahn gave no expression. Angelo closed the door as she left. Pahn had no idea what idea what this place was besides what Angelo had told him. "But at least", he thought, "I will know somebody. Yeah right! I need noone." Angelo would be just a memory when he got out...
