"Knocked Out Cold" (Clearing in the Woods West of Toto Village) "Huhaha" A Cloaked Figure laughed aloud atop his steed "Burn! Burn to the the ground" "Talrick" Balanth shouted "We better move out before were caught" "Yeah, Sure" Talrick answered "But I want to savor the last of my revenge" Balanth nodded and watched the small house burn down, meanwhile, some ways down on the other side of the forest........................... The woman tripped over a rock as her child fell on to the cold snowy plains, the child slowly stood and walked over to his mother. He looked at her confused and then asked "Mommy? What's wrong, why we leave Daddy and the house?" The woman looked into her child's innocent eyes and responded "Kinnison, please, you have to go, you must run, never tell anyone about me........ Please.... don't look back" "M-Mommy? I don't wanna" Kinnsion said whiping a tear away. "Go Kinnison...... I'll be in you dreams..." She said as she slowly sunk into a eternal sleep. Kinnison looked at his mother and ran off faster and faster until he collapsed into the ground. He soon drifted into a Terror-filled sleep.............. Kinnison groaned, and slowly woke up, he opened one eye and saw Shiro above him. He stood up and quickly put his clothes on, Shiro had already ran out of the Hut and out to the clearing, he followed Shiro's Gaze and saw smoke emanating from the west. Kinnison desperately fidgeted his hands behing him reaching for his Bow and the Quiver of Arrows. Quickly turning around he saw that Shiro had it in his mouth already, he quickly removed the Bow and Arrows from Shiro's mouth and ran westwards. After a feirce quick run, he arrived on the outskirts or Toto village, he scanned the area their was no Survivor in sight. He slowly walked through, he knew he couldn't stay here long, Highland had been causing trouble all around the area. He had no choice but to go deeper into City-State territory, He didn't want to go to Muse, but around Greenhill would be safe, or he could head south to Radat town, that would no doubt be the best choice for now. Kinnison crossed over the bridge towards Muse city when suddenly a arm reached out and grabbed his leg. Kinnison looked back and saw Gregorio slowly pulling himself up from below the bridge, Kinnison quickly bent down and pulled him up. Gregorio layed back slowly on the cold Stone and looked up at Kinnison "Y-you must..... leave" "Don't talk" Kinnison insisted as he checked his wound. "Kinnison..... You must avenge the people of Toto Village" Gregorio said painfully, he slowly reache din his puch and pulled a rune out "T-take this....... I kept it with me for some time....... I never used it....... It will be better with you". Gregorio put the rune into Kinnisons hand and gave Kinnison a final glance and said: "My debt has been repaid.........." "I will..... I will avenge Toto village" Kinnison said as he held the Rune in his hand "I will..... Avenge you........". He slowly stood up and set Gregorio's body in the stream, he took the fire rune and placed it in his pouch. It was about time to leave, but Shiro was nowhere to be found.............. "Where did he go" Shiro thought as he scanned around for the Soldier, the soldier had been watching him when his human was with the other human. But he had scared off the soldier, but he had given chase, but the soldier was fast, and he was worried he may have lost the soldier. Shiro paused and took in the scent of the air, he turned his head to the right and ran a few yards. Once again he scanned the area, still noone yet, he turned his head once more just as a club came down on his head knocking him unconcious. Kinnison had caught a glimpse of Shiro, but for some reason, he took one whif of the air and ran. Using all his might, Kinnison finally caught up to Shiro, nbut he was lying on the ground unconcious, Kinnison quickly whirled around, but was caught as a large staff knocked him unconcious. The Hunter rode happily on his wagon towards the Forest Village, he had caught him plenty of fur's on his trip, but more importantly, he had found him a rare White wolf. Sure, he had to get rid of the kid, but he didnt have to worry about that at least 'til Greenhill. He rode steadily for a few more hours untilhe reached Muse, the hunter jumped off the wagon and walked up to the Soldier guarding. The Soldier looked the Hunter up and down and said: "Do you have a Entry Permit to enter the City" "Permit" The Hunter asked "Uhh.. No, Why?" "Then Scram" The Soldier said "Only citezens may enter, no suspicious characters can enter" "B-but. I'm not suspicious!" The Hunter tried to argue "Surely the great hunter McNarock may enter?" "I don't care if your King Barbarossa back from the dead" The soldier said "YOUR NOT ENTERING!" "I need supplies!" McNarock argued "I cant make it past greenhill without them" "Well your a hunter, so Hunt" The Soldier said angrily "NOW LEAVE!" "Fine........" McNarock said as he got back on his wagon, he swiftly turned the horse away and they headed west, two days past he reached the checkpoint, this time, he hid the wagon out of site the approached "Erhem, I would like to pass to Greenhill" "Alright, do you ahve a permit" The Guard asked. "Whaa-- No, not again" McNarcok said as he slowly turned around. "Wahahaha" The Guard laughed "Hoohoo, sorry, but uhh.... you see, I had so many travellers complaining because they couldn't buy supplies from Muse, I couldn't resist, But, er, You can pass, just be careful, a bunch of bandits moved in recently" "Huh.....? Really? You mean......" McNarock said as he began to become a little upset "You tricked me! Why I oughta...." "Well, uhhh...... don't get rough, standing here all day isn't exactly fun" the Guard said "Please, go on through" After retreiving his wagon, he continued on towards the Forest Village to sell some of his skins and pick up a few more items to trade. Later, after falling asleep on the wagon a shadowy figure was flying overhead watching, the horse realizing this came to a quick stop and tensed. McNarock woke up just in time to have his face kicked in, and fall to the ground. "Well, that was easy, I wonder what this stupid human was carrying" A Feminine voie said as she ripped the tarp off the wagon, to her suprise, a white wolf and a Young man lied in the abudance of Animal skins, she quickly tossed the tarp back on and quickly thought it over. Deciding she'd rather have the Human wake up than the Wolf, she pulled out a canteen the Hunter had tossed it onto Kinnison's face. Kinnison jumped up and looked around to seea female Winger looking down at him. "What the.... Man.... Wingers......oooh... My head" Kinnison mumbled as he rubbed a large bump on his head "Hey... Uhh Where am I" "What?! Your not gonna even ask my name" The Winger asked "Well Geez! You guys are as jerky as dumb, and if you MUST know, your due east of Greenhill" "Greenhill..?" Kinnison stated outloud, ignoring her complaining "Where's Shiro" "Oh completely ignore me!" The Winger shouted again "Shiro? You mean that Big Mutt there?" Kinnison looked over to Shiro, it appeared he had got a good whack to the head as well. he tried to wake him but Shiro refused to wake. Kinnison gave up and spoke up once more "So.... What's your name" "Oh, well now that your Doggie is safe, you decide to ask my name" She complained "I don't even want to be near you, GO!" "Well Ok" Kinnison said as he picked Shiro up and began to walk off. "WAIT!!!!" The Winger said as she flew in front of him "You can't just leave!" "I can't?" Kinnison asked "Why not?" "Well because..... I saved you, that Hunter was mean! He would've tore you to peices if it wasn't for me!" She said proudly. "Oh?" Kinnison said as he looked to the tree where McNarock layed "He doesn't look so mean to me" "Well..... I, that's because I roughed him up" She stated "If you saw him when he was awake..... whew!" "Well thank you Ms. Winger" Kinnison said as he continued on "I'll just be going....." "No! I mean! I'm coming!" She stated as she ran up to him "I can't let the person I saved just walk off, I'm Neigha" "Nice to meet you Neigha, I'm Kinnison, but can we please go, I need to get to Greenhill" "Yeah... it's half a days walk from here" Neigha responded "But Why" "I need to attach a rune" And before Neigha could respond, he was already walking to Greenhill, she kept trying to ask him things but he silnently continued towards Greenhill. She was fed up with this and flew off leaving Kinnison alone to travel, He was greatly releived to have her, stop pestering him. He began to think to himself about Gregorio, the fire and the dream as he approached the gates of Greenhill.
