“Journey to Coronet” Tonight I dream of blood, not the blood of the humans, or the blood on my hands. But the blood that is shedding the very world, I was sleeping in the South Window Inn, when I suddenly found myself floating over the great world. I saw the Toran-Republic over me, the great cities of Harmonia, the great grasslands, then suddenly I fell, my own self went deep underground, and saw a horrific display. I now stand face to face…with myself. A statue carved just like me, looks like me. A dagger of bone flies out of nowhere, it hits the statue, making a crack. A strange voice howls from somewhere… “You were made as you were…” Taunts the voice. “But you can also be broken…” I wake up to the sound of birds chirping, Tyler was looking out the window, pondering his thoughts. “Tyler…we have that funeral to go to…I know it’s painful, but…in time things like this happen…let’s go…” I said. “…Ok…” Tyler said. We walked outside, the funeral was taking place at the outskirts of South Window, there was a big hole made for Tyler’s Dad Clyde, and a coffin right next to it. The preacher was about to give a speech, I was standing in front of the crowd, with Tyler next to me. The Preacher begins his speech. “We are gathered here today to say farewell to a good friend…Clyde. He was a good person, of great character, he will forever remain in our hearts forever. Now please bow your heads and listen well to the opening pray…” We all bowed are heads… The preacher was speaking a different language, although it was natural for the funeral, in about 5 minutes, they set the coffin in the hole, and began the grave. The preacher gave a farewell, and said to everyone to go on home. “….Let’s go Tyler…” I said. He didn’t respond, but instead he walked over to his dad’s grave, he took off his necklace and placed it inside his grave. “Ok I’m ready to go…” Tyler said. “You’ll feel better once we’re on the road Tyler…” I said. “Don’t worry… I feel better already!” Tyler said. “All right! Let’s get your gear prepared then.” I said. We went back to the inn, Tyler rummaged through his belongings, and pulled out a small but very deadly crossbow. “Are you sure you can use that thing…?” I said. “My dad taught me how to use it a year ago, I’ll be Ok.” Tyler said. “Oh ok…let’s get you a Rune then.” I said. “A rune…it doesn’t hurt does it…?” Tyler said. “No of course not, you’ll feel some pressure, but it doesn’t really hurt you. Don’t worry you’ll be ok.” I said. “Oh ok, I guess that’s a life of an adventurer though…I understand.” Tyler said. “All right come with me, let’s go get a rune.” I said. “Ok.” Tyler said. We walked to the rune shop. We were greeted by a very wish runemaster. “What is your wish my friend…” The runemaster said. “Are there any good runes for this young man here…” I said. “Hmm, he’s a bit young to use a rune, since he can use a bow, I’ll give him a kite rune.” He said. “Ok, how much?” I said. “1000 potch please…” The runemaster said. “Alright.” I said. I handed the runemaster the amount. “Now let me attach the rune…” The runemaster held his hand over the young boys right hand. He chanted different languages at once. A bright light shone and the rune was finally attached. “Wow, that feels great…” Tyler said. “Congratulations Tyler, you’re a full-fledged adventurer now…” I said. “Wow…” Tyler said. “Let’s go…” I said. We walked to the South Window gate, before we could make it on the road Tyler stopped. “What’s wrong Tyler?” I said. “My home…I have never left home before…” Tyler said. While staring at the gates of South Window. “It comes to life when a young man must venture out on his own…you’ll understand when the time comes, and when that comes, you’ll be able to come back to your home, and you’ll soon understand the importance of the outside world Tyler.” I said. “I’m going to miss this place…but I’ll come back, stronger than ever…” Tyler said. “We’re on our way to Coronet, I heard rumors that Koren was in the area, let’s go, it’s time to face your enemy…” I said. “Right I understand.” Tyler said. “Let’s go, to fulfill your destiny…” I said. Tyler nodded. We walked side by side, talking about the ways of the adventurer, I believe this young man will turn out to be a great fighter soon…
