Barbarosa: Young Master McDohl, Commander of the Liberation Army, thank you for coming this far. Look at this garden... a beautiful place full of flowers in bloom. This is the end. It is all that remains of my Empire. Young McDohl, I shall protect my Empire with my own hands!

(Barbarosa holds his sword up over his head)

Barbarosa: Dragon King Sword, give me power!

(There is a bright light that emanates from the sword which covers Barbarosa. When the light fades, the group of heroes are faced by a 3-headed Golden Hydra.)

Viktor: That is one big monster!

Flik: Alen Grenseal, get ready to unite

Alen and Grenseal: Right!

Ronnie Bell: I'll fire my magic energy ball.

Viktor: Are you ready Star Dragon Sword? I'm gonna use my Clone Rune!

Star Dragon Sword: Let's do it!

Young Master McDohl: O Soul Eater, get ready to pass judgment on this creature.

(The Soul Eater begins to glow in Young McDohl's hand)

Flik: Everyone ready? Let's go. ATTACK!

(The party uses the same series of attack continuously. When McDohl's Judgment attack wore out, he had to use the Black Shadow attack. When the first two heads faded away the third one delivered a blow to Grenseal that almost killed him, but fortunately enough for him, Alen and Ronnie Bell healed him. Flik, Alen, and Grenseal united one last time and delivered the final blow to the monster. The final head and the body disappeared in a fiery blaze, and the hero's saw Emperor Barbarosa kneeling before them.)

Barbarosa: Whooooaaaa!!!

(The four Imperial Generals, Kasim, Sonya, Milch, and Kawanda entered the garden)

Kasim: Your Highness!

Barbarosa: Kasim...

Kasim: You've changed, Your Highness. Why? We believed in you.

Barbarosa: Kasim, I've missed you. And I miss those days we fought together.

Kasim: You were deceived by the woman. By Windy

(Suddenly Windy teleports into the garden next to the fallen Barbarosa.)

Windy: Barbarosa! What happened? You lost? The Golden Emperor indeed. And you call yourself the Golden Emperor. For shame.

(Kasim runs at Windy out of rage)

Kasim: How dare you insult His Highness!

Windy: (laughing) Don't be silly.

(Windy sends electricity through Kasim's body and he falls to the ground. Kasim reaches out for Barbarosa)

Kasim: Y-Your Highness

(The other Generals rush to Kasim's side.)

Windy: (still laughing) Now it's our turn McDohl. This Empire is dead. But I'll still take your Soul Eater! Give it to me!

(Windy tries to call the Soul Eater to her, but as she does images of Teo McDohl, Gremio, Ted, and Odessa appear around Windy and begin to charge up and attack)

Flik: O-Odessa?

(There is a bright flash of light.)

Flik: (thinking) Was it just my imagination, or did she just smile and wink at me?

(The light fades and the images are gone. Windy is hunched over in pain from the awesome attack)

Windy: W-Why do you reject me, Soul Eater? You control life and death and eat souls. I am your ideal host. Together, let us take revenge on this cursed world.

(The Soul Eater does nothing)

Windy: Even you reject me, Soul Eater! Even he most cursed rune refuses me!

(Barbarosa rises to his feet and.)

Barbarosa: Windy, that's enough. Stop it.

(Barbarosa helps Windy to stand up straight. Windy turns to him)

Windy: What are you doing? I'll destroy you with my magic.

Barbarosa: it's no use Windy. The Rune on my Dragon King Sword, the Sovereign Rune, is protected against any form of magic. Even the Rune of the Gate.

Windy: But with the Black Rune...you were...

(Barbarosa puts a finger over her lips)

Barbarosa: I lied

(Barbarosa and Windy walk to the edge of the balcony.)

Windy: What do you plan to do Barbarosa?

Barbarosa: I loved you.

Flik: ( thinking) Hmm...Maybe he wasn't as wicked as we thought he was.

Windy: Liar. You loved my resemblance to Claudia!

 Barbarosa: That's not true. I wanted to erase the sadness that lies hidden deep in your eyes. The sadness of one who cannot accept others. I loved you. But that was a mistake. It was my only mistake. But it cannot be forgiven.

Windy: Please...please stop it, Barbarosa.

Barbarosa: As a  result of my mistake, I lost my Empire. (Still looks at Windy) Young McDohl, what kind of land will you create in it's stead? \

Sonya: (looks up from Kasim to Barbarosa) Emperor Barbarosa!

Milch: Emperor...

Kawanda: Your Highness!

Barbarosa: Farewell!

(Windy and Barbarosa jump off of the balcony in an embrace. There is a bright flash followed by a rumbling noise. Suddenly the castle begins to shake.)

Viktor: The end of the Emperor.

Flik: And the end of the Empire.

(Kasim rises)

Viktor: I don't think this place will hold for much longer. We'd better escape.

(The party begins to leave, but then Flik turns around when the Generals don't follow)

Flik: Hey! What are you waiting for? Come on, let's go!

Sonya: We'll follow soon. Just go!

(The party exits the garden and begin to run down long corridors and long flights of stairs. Suddenly a group of soldiers confronts them.)

Soldier: It's he Liberation Army. Don't let them escape alive.

Viktor: Master McDohl, I'll stall them. You go on ahead.

McDohl: Don't be ridiculous, Viktor.

Viktor: This country still needs you. But once this war is over, I'm useless, Flik, take care of him.

Flik: Let's go Leader. Let him do what he wants. (They leave)

Viktor: Anyone feel like dying today? Step forward. I'll fight until my heart stops!

 ******* (McDohl tries to go back for Viktor)

Flik: Let's go! Leader, you must stay alive. For Odessa's sake.

(McDohl gives in and they start to run. As they approach the throne room, a trap is set off and a n arrow heads straight for McDohl. Flik sees the arrow coming and steps in it's path.)

Flik: (grunts in pain) Fool! Be careful! Master McDohl, you were chosen by Odessa to rebuild this country, I can't let you get killed here, or else Odessa will be furious when I see her again, up there. Go, now, and fulfill...Odessa's dream. Hurry!

McDohl: I can't leave both you and Viktor here.

Flik: I'll be all right. Viktor and I will join with you later.

(McDohl won't move)

Flik: Hurry up and go, or else I'll kill myself right here! Go, hurry! Don't disappoint Odessa.

McDohl: Stay alive Flik.

Flik: (smiles) It's a bit too early to see Odessa again. Our reunion can wait until I become a better man.

(McDohl leaves. Suddenly Viktor shoes up)

Viktor: Where's our leader?

Flik He's gone ahead.

Viktor: Great, now we can fight to our hearts' content.

Flik: Yeah, too bad I have to fight alongside you.

(They smile at each other)

Voices: McDohl has escaped. This way. We must avenge the Emperor!

(As the soldiers approach, Viktor and Flik draw their swords)

Viktor: Let's go, Star Dragon Sword!

Star Dragon Sword: You sure know how to treat a man.

Flik: In the name of my sword Odessa, I won't let you pass!

Soldier: Get them!

(Flik kills a soldier with an electric bolt from his Thunder Rune and Viktor cuts another in half with his Clone Rune)

Wounded Soldier: Help! We need reinforcements!

(More soldiers arrive and surround Flik and Viktor)

Viktor: There's too many!

Star Dragon Sword: Die well my friends.

Flik: We're not done yet! Brace yourself, Viktor!

(Viktor crouches down as Flik holds his Thunder Rune over his head)

Flik: O Thunder Rune, give me the power to win this battle. (Concentrates) MmmmmmmhhhhaaaAAAAHH!

(There's a bright flash of light and then an explosion)   ******* Flik: (Opening his eyes and shaking his head as he looks around) Huh? What the...? Where am I?

(Flik realizes that he is no longer in Gremenster, but in an open field)

Flik: Ouch!

(Flik's hand burns, he takes of his glove and sees that his Thunder Rune has burned out)

Flik: Oh damn! That was the rune Odessa gave me for my birthday. (Thinking) Now she's really going to be furious when I see her again.

(Flik feels something cut all the way down his back. He turns around to see a monster standing before him)

Flik: What the...AHHH!

(The monster cuts Flik's chest. Then the monster aims to take off Flik's head)

Flik: (Ducking the attack) Son of a...RAHHH!

(Flik cuts off the monster's head with one swipe of his sword. When Flik looks down, he sees that the monster has dropped something. He picks up the object and begins to inspect it)

Flik: A Fire Rune. (He looks at his old rune) Could be a useful replacement!

(Flik looks around and sees a town in the distance)

Flik: (Groans in pain) Gotta get to that town.

(Flik finally reaches the town after several minutes, but he feels very weak and dizzy. A woman sees him and runs to help him)

Woman: Are you all right? Who are you?

Flik: Need...h-help!

Woman: I'll help you, but who are you?

Flik: My name is...F-Flik. (Flik feels a surge of energy and collapses)

Woman: (Calls to her husband) Honey, help me!

Man: (Walks out of a house) What is it? (Sees Flik) Oh my! It's The Blue Lightning! Let's get him inside.

(They carry Flik inside and put him on a bed in their basement)

Woman: Is it really him?

Man: (Looking at Flik sword) Odessa! Yup, it's him all right. We'll take care of him until he gets better. (Sees Flik's burnt rune, and the new one in his hand) Oh, Dear, take that old rune off him and put that new one on him.

(The Woman trades Flik's runes)

Woman: What should I do with this old one?

Man: It's his to decide. Leave it on the desk next to him.

(Flik wakes up)

Flik: W-Where am I?

Man: Easy. You were hurt pretty badly. Your in Greenhill now.

Flik: (Weakly) Uggh...Please...g-give me my sword.

Man: (Hands him the sword) Here. Now try to get some rest Blue Lightning.

Flik: Thank you (Falls asleep).

Woman: It's a good thing school hasn't gotten out yet!

Man: Huh? Oh yeah, right! If she found out that "The" Flik was here in he house she'd get so excited she'd make herself sick. (Thinking) Or someone else.

Woman: Your right. Maybe we shouldn't tell her just yet. After all. school let's out today. She should enjoy her vacation for awhile.

Man: True. Let's go upstairs and wait for her to get home. I can't wait to hear what Nina has planned for the summer.

Woman: Me neither. Nina always has something crazy going on in that head of hers.

Man: Mostly Flik!

Woman: Shh! You'll wake him up. Come on, let's go upstairs. Nina will be home any minute!

Man: Okay!

(The Man and Woman climb the stairs into their kitchen and leave Flik to rest and recover)

Flik: (Dreaming) ...Odessa...!
