"Blinking Test" (Muse Field -> Muse -> Coronet -> Muse Field) Clive exited Coronet quickly before Marcel could figure out what happened. Before long, he knew he would have to go back through Coronet. Next time however, he wouldn’t hesitate to shoot Marcel if he messed with him. Clive was furious. He wasn’t going to be taken advantage of anymore. He knew where Elza was, and he was going to capture her for her crime of stealing the Guild’s treasure… And, for the atrocity she committed five years ago as well… the murder of his fellow guild member, Kelley. Clive wondered if Elza still remembered. It wasn’t something so easily forgotten. Storm, his gun, was the only one with a soul in the world. The gun looked like a normal gun, and Clive even had to pull the trigger to shoot it. But, if Storm didn’t want to shoot at an enemy, it wouldn’t, no matter how hard Clive tried. Sometimes Clive wondered who was in charge. Was Clive the keeper of Storm, or was Storm the keeper of Clive? Before Clive made his way to the temple, he needed to stop in Muse to see if he could get the Blinking Rune attached. He knew that the Blinking Rune’s powers were to teleport people wherever they please…maybe if he learned its powers he could start a teleportation service…a reliable one instead of having someone hire a person like Viki. Clive stopped before the guards at Muse. Giving them Storm, he said. “I mean no harm, I just need to attach a rune in my hand.” Clive said as he held up a Blinking Rune while opening his cloak to reveal no other weapons. The guards were hesitant for a moment, but they gave in. “All right, but if you aren’t back within an hour then we will consider you a threat to the city of Muse, innocent or not.” The guard said. Clive nodded and past through the gate to Muse. Keeping his face low and making sure Bertha was not around and didn’t see him, Clive headed through the allies toward the Runemaster’s shop. He opened the door as a bell rang to signal a customer. A man with the same goofy hat all Runemaster’s wear looked up from his current business to smile and greet the customer. “Welcome. What can I do for you sir?” he asked. Clive held out his hands, showing the Resurrection Rune on his right hand and he held the Blinking Rune in his left. “Is it possible to have this engraved on my left hand?” Clive asked. The Runemaster looked for a moment. “Well, let’s try, shall we?” he led Clive back to a seat and he proceeded to try and engrave the rune on his left hand. But, the rune wouldn’t attach itself no matter how hard the Runemaster tried. The Runemaster sighed. “Sir, unless you take off that Resurrection Rune, you won’t be able to use this rune.” Clive thought for a moment. He had used his Resurrection Rune for a long time, but if he could teleport anywhere he wanted, he could minimize travel distance with ease. He decided. “Attach that rune.” Clive said. After a while, the Runemaster finished attaching the rune. Clive thanked the man and paid him his fee, when the Runemaster stopped him. “Sir, I noticed that is a Blinking Rune I just put on your hand.” He said. “So?” Clive asked. “Oh, yes, um, I have a book on how to use the Blinking Runes. I usually don’t see customers who use them, so I have never had a chance to offer this book for anyone…” Clive interrupted. “How much?” he asked bluntly. “4000 potch.” He replied. Clive sighed. “Let me see it.” Clive said. He flipped through the book realizing it held the information he needed. Clive handed over 4,000 potch to the Runemaster . “Thank you.” Clive grunted and he exited the shop. Realizing he had some more time, he sat on a bench, opened the book, and began to read bits and pieces of what he needed to know. Uses of the Blinking Rune The Blinking Rune is a rare rune that allows the user to teleport him or herself and any number of people to a predetermined destination. Also, it allows the user to teleport objects in the same manner. To teleport to a destination, it has to be a place that you have already been and can picture slightly in your mind. People follow the same rules, but they must be near you to teleport. Any non-living object however can be teleported from anywhere as long as you can picture it in your mind. That’s all he needed to read. Clive thought for a moment, and disappeared in a flash and appeared in an alley near the front gate. Clive grinned. “This will save me a lot of time.” He thought. Clive approached the gate with the book in his pocket. “I’m back, just like I promised.” He said. The guards gave him Storm back, and he exited Muse. Once out of the guard’s sight, he decided to try his first big teleportation test. He concentrated hard, and Clive disappeared in a flash and reappeared at the outskirts of Coronet. “Yes!” he thought. Clive disappeared again and reappeared near Muse. About to teleport to the temple, he realized he hadn’t been to the Jowston Temple of the Silver Moon. Clive sighed, knowing he had to walk to the temple. So Clive trudged onward towards his destination. After a good while of walking, Clive could see the temple in the distance. “Just a little while and I’ll be there. And Elza will finally pay for her crimes.” Clive thought.
