"Boogie Knights" (Greenhill) Grenseal, Sydonia and Seth entered the town of Greehill exhausted from the few days walk to there they had covered in a mere Six hours. By now Grenseal and Seth were at each other's throats and Sydonia didn't even bother to go 'Heh' anymore. While Sydnoian and Grenseal waited outside the Inn, Seth was on the inside trying to get a room.... "What do you mean the rooms are all taken!" Seth growled out at the Innkeeper "Either you get us a room or I'll be using your Inn for Target Practice!" "I-I'm sorry Sir" The Innkeeper stammered "But the last room was taken by a Knight, I can't give you a room" "I couldn't care less!" Seth argued "Get us a Room! We have spent the last few days breaking our back for this lousy amount of Potch so we can get a good nights rest! And Believe me, We are going to get a Good Nights Rest!" " Well.... I suppose there is my daughters room....." The Innkeeper said lowly "She stays in the dorms now.... so I suppose...." "Fine! fine!" Seth grumbled "We'll take it, Syd, Grenny, get in 'ere now!" "DON'T CALL ME GRENNY!!!" A voice bellowed from outside the Inn as Seth's companions walked in and headed to their room. The downside that their was only one bed, so they played a game on Chinchirorin to pick the person who got the bed. Sydnoina beat both of them 45 out of 99, thus giving him the bed as the other two made do on the floor. "Well counting all the Potch we have come up with 600 Potch to last us until the next town" Grenseal reported "So we better not blow much" "Don't worry!" Seth said "I managed to come up with an extra 200 Potch! Breakfast will be on me tomorrow!" "What Civilian did you grab the Potch off?" Grenseal asked annoyed "Were in enough trouble as it is" 'Don't worry!" Seth said reassuring his ally "The Innkeeper gave it to me as an apology since we had to take this room!" Koyu sat in his room at the inn. The shoulder armor, as well as the outer shirt and boots were all thrown on a heap on the floor. Koyu's pants were unzipped, and his shirt unbuttoned. He tossed a playing card into the top hat onto the bed. He missed, adding another card to the mess. "I never miss like this. It must be some sorta omen." Koyu thought to himself as he tossed another card. He missed again. "Okay, this is boring. I should go find something to do." Koyu stood up and buttoned his shirt. "What's with these knights, anyway? This uniform is overly elaborate. Maybe I should just go with my regular clothes." Koyu picked up the bag and pulled his clothes out. "Naw. I've already got half of this silly costume on anyway, might as well just stick with it." Koyu decided, putting the clothes back in the bag. He continued to get dressed Soon, he would live to regret his decision. Koyu looked at himself in the mirror. Koyu never thought he'd see himself in the crimson uniform he had now. His life was always that of a bandit. Not one of a proud honorable knight. Koyu had always tried to do the right thing, but he was a bandit. What honor was there in that? Climbing down the stairs, Koyu went over to the person behind the desk. Apparently, the innkeeper was not in. "What can a knight go in this town?" He leaned on the counter. "Well, you can always take a tour through the academy. It is was Greenhill is know for, after all!" The guy smiled. "Anything else?" "Well, besides being a college town, there's nothing much to do around here." Koyu bobbed his head. "All right. Thanks." "My pleasure sir." Koyu leaned in the doorway of one of the classrooms, observing. They were learning about history. Some mumbo jumbo about Toran that he couldn't keep up with. Turning his head, he saw the men's bathroom. "Now there's a good idea if I ever saw one." Koyu thought to himself as he walked towards it. Koyu immediately went over to the far-right urinal. He unbuttoned the lowest two buttons on his outer and inner shirt. Unzipping his fly, he placed one hand on the wall in front of him and sighed. The door to the bathroom flung open. A crimson body stood at the far left urinal. The body caught Koyu's eye as he turned his head. If he was any more surprised to see another red knight in the bathroom with him, he would have zipped up too fast. Camus didn't notice the bogus Red Knight standing beside him, who was, at this point literally shaking in his boots. The Red Knight commander casually turned his head to the left, glanced at the short 'red knight' beside him and turned his head back. Then it clicked in. Hey...wait a sec..something's not right... Camus glanced to the left again through the corner of his eye. It was definitely that punky haired fellow dressed in Matildian uniform garb he saw going in Greenhill. Camus turned his head again, as he did, the 'red knight' turned his back towards him slightly. What the hell? Does he think I'm trying to look there? I'm not that type of guy! Camus quickly finished his business and grabbed Koyu by the scruff of his neck. "Ow..ow....I'm not finished yet!" "You little poser! I caught you at last! You're the spy that Leonard's been talking about!" "No sir! I'm not! Hear me out, I swear to you that I had nothing to do with the attack on the citzens at Highway village!" Camus let go of Koyu, crossed his arms and glared at the punky looking person with suspicion. "Oh really? Well if that's the case, then why are you wearing a red Matildan knight's uniform?" "Sir....I wore this uniform so I could sneak out of Highway village undetected. They think I'm one of the bandits who attacked the villagers. I had to move pretty quickly because they had spotted me. But I swear that everything you heard about me is sheer boloney!" "I see.....and let me guess, it was the hair that gave you away..." Koyu began to sweat drop and gave Camus a sheepish grin, "Why..how'd you guess?" "Look, I don't have time to play twenty questions with you. I'll give you a benefit of a doubt, but I find out that you were lying to me..." "Does this face look like the type that would lie to you?" asked Koyu as he gave Camus a goofy wide-eyed expression. Camus rolled his eyes and placed his gloved hand over his face. Fools! I'm surrounded by them! "Look Mr. Red Knight, how about this? How about I help you look for these 'bandits' and you can forgive me for posing as a red knight?" "........Oh very well.." Camus replied reluctantly, "But no tricks, you hear? I already delt with enough trouble makers already." "Deal then!" smiled Koyu, "Let's meet at the inn and perhaps we can figure where to go from there." Koyu quietly walked past Camus and headed towards the door. He promptly stopped and turned towards the Red Knight Commander. "By the way, the name's Koyu." "Nice to meet you, Koyu, I'm Camus." Ah-ha...so this is the almighty Camus the white knights had mentioned at the gates of Matilda. I expected him to be a bit more tougher looking.... "Ahem..Koyu...before you leave, you might want to do that up..." Koyu looked down and quickly did up his zipper. "Ah...well...um...thanks....I shall be going. Meet you at the inn." Camus, not trusting the boy, decided to go with him. "I'll go with you." "Okay." Koyu said out loud. Secretly, he thought to himself, "Sometimes I'm so good I scare myself." He gave a cheek-to-cheek grin. The pair of crimson-clad knights walked through Greenhill Academy, heading towards the exit. They were at the wrong place at the wrong time, however. Soon, the rush would come, and not even Koyu or Camus would be able to handle it. The final bell rang. The students started to stampede out of the classrooms. Rushing down the stairs in herds, the students would fly at light speeds towards the one thing that would grant them their sanctuary, the door. Camus and Koyu stood there, spinning around as the herd of students rushed past them. The two got hit by elbows, book bags, and anything else the students recklessly didn't care about. But, as soon as the stampede started, it ended just as quickly. Koyu helped Camus up. "Guess school's out." Camus nodded. As soon as the two collected themselves, they headed out the door. As they walked down the street, Koyu's ears picked up. He heard a very distinctive sound. He placed his hand in front of Camus. "What's wrong?" He asked. Koyu told him to shush. The two paused. Koyu then bolted back to the academy building. "Don't run away from me!" Camus sprinted after Koyu. Koyu turned around behind the dormitory. Sure enough, Koyu was right. There were two boys, slightly older than Koyu, ganging up on a much younger boy. One of them was holding the young boy's arms behind his back. The other one was punched him in the stomach. "You didn't pay us your lunch money today." The one punching him threatened, clenching his fists. "I was hungry." The boy sniffled. "You know the rules!" The one holding him said. "This is the penalty for not paying us!" "Enough." Koyu bellowed. The boy's focus turned to the red knight. "Let him go. Immediately." The boy holding him threw him on the ground. The two boys walked to Koyu. "What are you gonna do about it, you pretty-boy knight?" They got in Koyu's face. "Have you no pride?" Koyu challenged them. "He's half your age." Camus stood in the far background, watching quietly. "We're bigger than him. And more powerful. I bet we could take you on too." The other boy retaliated. "You're pretty puny looking for a red knight." "Is that a threat?" Koyu said, taking two steps back. He drew the rapier from his sheath and held it out. The two boys instantly became scared at the sight of a red knight holding out his sword. The boys ran off instantly. "Don't worry! We'll get you for this!" Koyu sheathed his sword and kneeled on the grassy knoll and helped the boy the bullies were threatening onto his feet. "You okay?" Koyu asked. The boy rubbed his eyes. "No." He burst out into tears. Koyu held out his arms as the boy ran into them. The boy grabbed Koyu's red shirt and cried into it. "Thank you, sir." "It's okay." Koyu comforted the boy. He unbuckled his shoulder pads and loosened them. He lifted the boy up and into his arms. The boy continued to cry into Koyu's shirt. Koyu patted him on the head. Koyu turned around and noticed Camus for the first time. Camus blinked. He was surprised that such a young punk would act so....knightly. Camus smiled slightly as he watched Koyu comforting the young child. He walked over to the spikey hair kid and knelt down to their level. "Koyu, my man, that was very caring of you. You truely have what it takes to be a knight." Koyu lifted his eyebrows, not quite sure of what to say. "In any case, we have to go and get this boy to his parents." Koyu smiled. Seth, then Sydonia, and finally Grenseal made their way from upstairs and seated themselves to the continental breakfast that was served. The three feasted as the Innkeeper watched with a hateful eye, the two bandits were somewhat normal to see, but a green was strange. Perhaps Gorudo had started a line of Green knight now, that guy can change his mind within seconds. The three 'customers' had eaten as if they hadn't ate in days, the bar of doughnuts had been whipped clean.... even the ones that had been their for days. A few minutes later, the three were out the door, the innkeeper took the liberty to clean up the mess while they were gone. Since Breakfast was covered now, only one thing left to do, locate Teresa and offer their services, Grenseal pride had diminished, working for Jouston was the lowest he could possibly go. Sydonia..... well, he's just strange, he was quiet most of the time and was seldom heard. Seth of all of them, was the loudest and most annoying of the whole group, the whole way he went about practically screamed 'Arrest me!' Up ahead at the Greenhill academy were Two Red knights, one of them being unusually short for any kind of knight. The other who dressed with a sense of fashion to his uniform, with them was a young boy crying his eyes out. Grenseal and his group went around the three and into the academy....... Camus looked up from Koyu and the boy at the strange group of a green knight and oddly stranged men. Koyu looked up and followed Camus's gaze, sure enough their was a odd knight and two othes oddly-dressed. "Bandits..." About three steps from the door, Seth was already knocked out, and Grenseal suffered a hard his to the head, when the two turned around, the two red knights from before had attacked. "What the Heck?" Grenseal growled as he spun around and swung his sword at the shorter knight, which got deflected by his own sword. Sydonia took the liberty of teleporting behind Koyu to deliver a punch, but was knocked senseless by a firespell from Camus. Grenseal was now forced to fight one on two, quickly he used his Thunder Rune going for the highest spell he could deliver. The spell was cut short by Camus and Koyu's combined Rage Runes, sending the Toran knight reeling into the Greenhill Academy Statue. Grenseal shakingly got up just in time to have part of the head of one of the former mayors to crash into his skull. "The bandits..we found them at last! We must hurry and take them back to Rockaxe for interrogation. They have a lot of explaining to do.." Camus placed his sword back in his scabbard and breathed a sigh of relief. He thought the leader of the bandits would never go down. Casting spells drained him of energy quickly. He turned to Koyu and nodded in acknowledgment. Koyu cursed under his breath. Koyu grumbled as he tied his anklet around his ankle. "I shouldn't go. They're clumsy, and sloppy. Stupid novice bandits. I might get caught myself." He went over to the sink. Wetting his hands, he continued to mumble. "They're paying for my crimes. That's not right." He slicked his hands through his hair. He went back over to the bed. He started throwing the knights uniform into the sack. "Stupid novice bandits. They fought back. I really shouldn't. No, I don't think I will." Koyu picked up the armor. He was about to shove it into the sack, when he saw the badge fastened to it. Camus' words rang through his mind: "Koyu, my man, that was very caring of you. You truly have what it takes to be a knight." "I'm no knight." He thought to himself. "I'm a loser." No one was around when the prisoners where placed in their cells. Miklotov was no longer in the castle and he had no idea where Gorudo was. Not that he'd go out of his way to look for the leader of Rockaxe anyways. Camus was about to check up on the prisoners when something suddenly dawned on him... I left Leonard and those two kobolds alone at Greenhill! Camus glanced at the doorway that lead to the prison house and then quickly turned away, cursing softly under his breath. Damn..well, it's not like the prisoners can go anywhere anytime soon. I better hurry back to Greenhill and find those idiots! Camus quickly rushed out of the castle, mounted on his horse and was soon headed towards the Matilda/Greenhill border. Grenseal slowly woke up, he lightly stroked the back oh his head to encounter the gash, he winced in pain s he moved his hand away. Seth was still unconscious, yet Sydonia sat on the bed looking as if he hadn't suffered a single scrape. Adjacent to their cell was the jail keeper, he was sleeping lazily and next to him were Grenseal's sword and Seth's 'weapon'. "Hey Sydonia..." Grenseal whispered "Think you can get our weapons back?" "Heh" Sydonia laughed slightly "No problem" Sydonia teleported over to the weapons, grabbed them and laid them back on the ground. "Good. We'll bust out after Seth wakes up and this bump goes down...." The bandit's ears picked up as they heard a horse whinny. There was the sound of a scuffling, and the cell to the door flung open. There, they saw the boy that had attacked them earlier. The three were about to pick up their weapons as Koyu held out his axe. "No one touch. You're free to go." "Who the hell are you?" Grenseal sneered. "Next time you're so sloppy, I won't be here to save you." Koyu ignored that question. He eyed Grenseal's sword. He picked it up and held it with the other hand. "You better hurry. Camus could be here any minute, and that guard could regain consciousness. And, right now, you're the most probable suspects, so you better start running." Koyu eyed the sword. "I'll take this as a token of good faith." He ran out of the tent. Jumping onto the horse, he kicked it. It whinneyed and galloped off.
